Rocky Mountain Horses and Kentucky Mountain Horses

WE HAVE OUR FIRST FOAL FOR 2020

HSR SHE'S A WHO 'DAT HONEY

Our KMSH mare, Little Mischevious Baby, foaled a beautiful bay filly on 3-24-2020.  She arrived early in the morning and was up and running around when we found her.    She is very tall and has to duck under mom to nurse.  She has no white and already has the blackest mane and tail I have seen on a newborn.  The sire is our Rocky Mountain/KMSH stallion, Blue Knight.  The filly will be registerable as a Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse.  We are calling her Honey.

Honey will be for sale at weaning which is usually around 4 months, give or take.  Please contact me for more information on this lovely girl.  Stay turned for more pics as she unfolds and grows.

 Priced at $2,000

2ND FOAL HAS ARRIVED-A CHOCOLATE ROAN HOMOZYGOUS COLT,  HE ARRIVED 4-7-2020

Tank

This boy is a tank!!  He arrived early morning on April 7, 2020.  His dam is our mare, HSR Driving Ms. Diva and the sire is the stallion Bulletproof, a homozygous red roan.   He is a chocolate roan and will be tested to see if he could be homozygous roan before he is priced for sale.  Hairs have been sent in; just awaiting results.

RESULTS ARE IN!  THIS BOY IS HOMOZYGOUS FOR ROAN.  THAT MEANS THAT IF HE IS BRED TO A MARE HE WILL ALWAYS THROW A ROAN. COLOR WOULD DEPEND ON MARES COLOR GENETICS.  FOR PRICING, SEND ME A MESSAGE ON THIS SITE.   NOT MANY HOMOZYGOUS ROANS IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN ASSOCIATION.  WE HIT THE JACKPOT WITH THIS BOY!

He will be available at weaning, approximately 4 months.  Don't wait to long if you are interested!  He will not last long; there are not a lot of chocolate roans in the association.    To give you an idea of his color, the first picture is his dam whom is chocolate roan also-same as this boy!  This was her back in 2017.  They go through a lot of color changes.  Always looks like you have a new horse!

3rd and Last foal of 2020 has arrived!!!

HSR I'm a Brave Heart (Red)

Our 3rd foal has arrived!!  This beautiful colt was born early Saturday, April 25, 2020.  He is a deep red sorrel and is quite tall!  He is still unfolding those long legs but that hasn't stopped him.  He is running all over the stall and bucking and mom is having fun keeping up with himHe will be able to be registered Rocky Mountain and KMSH.  I have videos of both dam and sire gaiting so there is no reason this boy won't be the same.    Just look at that chrome!  4 white feet and a half moon on his forehead.

Named him Brave Heart because when we moved him and mom from the foaling stall to a paddock he didn't want to go in the new paddock. He came out of the stall and proceeded to look all around the area and totally ignored mom.  This was at 7 days old. He wanted to look around and kept going in the opposite direction of mom.  It took us about 15 minutes to get him to follow mom to his new area.

Of the 3 foals this year, he was the bravest.  So hence the name Brave Heart.

This girl is just gorgeous!   Her sire is Alliances Gone N Dun it and Dam is our mare Rhapsody In Blue.  This was a maiden mare and the first time we have bred to this stallion.  What a foal we have produced!  She got every color that she could get, 1 copy of silver, 1 copy of dun, 1 copy of roan and 1 copy of cream and no red gene.  She has a nice dun stripe, ear tipping, stripes on her legs and her body is a white/cream color.  Mane and tail are white mixed with tan and brown; very unique.  Cannot wait to see what this girl looks like as she matures.  Even though most ppl say that cream does not change them, I can usually tell when a horse carries cream.  I think it changes the coloring just a little bit.

This girl has the prettiest head on her and her mane and tail are very thick and such unique colors.  She is going to be a knock out and gaiting!  She gaits everywhere!
